Confidentiality in counseling
Once counseling begins, privacy and confidentiality are governed by applicable law, professional ethics, and the documents reviewed with you. Confidentiality has exceptions, which will be explained during informed consent. Please request the practice’s current Notice of Privacy Practices and informed-consent documents before services begin.
